About Emma

My background...

Being a celebrant is my calling - it’s my vocation, not simply a job.

I trained as an independent celebrant at the suggestion of a good friend who had spent many years living in Australia, the cradle of modern celebrancy. After suffering the loss of my mother to Alzheimer’s, I was drawn to this opportunity wanting to provide a high quality, personalised and professional service to help families at a time when they are fragile and vulnerable.

As a Funeral Celebrant, I have been active conducting funerals and memorial ceremonies for families in Looe, Polperro, Liskeard, Saltash, Plymouth, Millbrook - as well as upcountry.

I can help plan a ceremony in whatever location and wherever your imagination takes you. Whether at a crematorium, natural burial ground or other venue.

As a Family and Wedding Celebrant, I specialise in providing be-spoke, intimate ceremonies in beautiful Looe in south east Cornwall, where I live.

My background gives me a unique artistic perspective to each ceremony I plan, and my attention to detail is second to none. I worked for many years in the world of the Arts, where I raised sponsorship and managed corporate hospitality events.

Plus until 2023, I managed the Heritage Centre in The Sardine Factory in West Looe and so understand the rich history of our town’s stories, its fishing heritage and the workings of the Harbour.

I can help you create a special memorable ceremony for a Wedding, Renewal of Vows or Baby Naming.

I am a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.
